Monica Gebell started Roc The Mic Productions, LLC*, in 2017 while working on Rochester's annual Listen To Your Mother show.

In addition to helping people wrangle words to tell their own stories, she is passionate about writing, reading, teaching, equity, and justice. She is currently teaching high-school English full-time, & advises the school's Diversity Club. Monica and her husband are parents to three wild-haired & spirited kids. 


*RTM offers local non-profit agencies the opportunity to raise funds while raising awareness about a variety of causes and issues within our city through the art of storytelling.
